Digital SSR Symbaloo Style

One of my goals this year is to create authentic and productive uses for student desktop computers in all classrooms. I got the idea of Digital SSR from the Teaching the iGeneration workshop taught by Bill Ferriter and combined it with one of my new favorite tools, Symbaloo. It’s not exactly intuitive, so I’ve created a little tutorial for guidance:

Teaching the iGeneration

I just recently attended a 2 day workshop, Teaching the iGeneration, presented by Bill Ferriter. I was instantly inspired to motivate, collaborate, create, and yes…even Tweet (@learnmoorestuff).

One of my roles this year is to head up our CTCC program. All of the information shared in this workshop will help support any committee that is tasked with motivating, supporting, and leading technology integration in education. I created a Voicethread that highlights the key points in making substantial change in any organization and showcases some of the 21st century tools that were demonstrated. Please feel free to join the conversation!

Share your favorite apps with Appsfire

I was looking for a simple way to share my favorite educational apps with teachers when I stumbled upon this invaluable resource. Appsfire lets you recreate what your iPad or iPhone looks like and automatically generates a description of each app when moused-over. It even generates HTML code so you can embed and share in your blog. VERY COOL!
